Overview
This Policy explains what Hypezero collects, how we use it, and your choices. It covers the website and the Discord bot.
Data we collect
When you sign in with Discord we store your Discord user id, username, discriminator (if any), avatar hash, and email if Discord provides it. You may also save profile preferences (display name, language, timezone, notify hour), Steam id, library and wishlist entries, share tokens, likes on public wishlists, and Discord guild alert settings you configure. Technical logs may include IP addresses, user agent, and error traces needed to run and secure the service.
How we use data
We use this data to authenticate you, personalise the site, send wishlist and guild alerts you enable, operate public wishlist features you choose to share, improve reliability, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal data.
Discord bot
The bot processes Discord server and channel identifiers, roles/permissions needed to post, and alert configuration you set. Message content is only used as needed to deliver scheduled alerts. We do not use Discord data for advertising.
Third parties
Game metadata and enrichments come from providers such as IGDB, Steam, Metacritic, and HowLongToBeat. Authentication and messaging use Discord. Donations go through PayPal. Hosting and databases process data as needed to keep Hypezero online. Their policies apply to their own processing.
Retention
Account and wishlist data are kept while your account is active. You can remove wishlist entries, revoke share links, or unlink Steam from your profile tools. Logs are retained only as long as useful for operations and security. If you want account deletion, contact us via the community Discord.
Your choices
You can stop Discord DMs by disabling notify on wishlist items, adjust guild alerts in the reports tools if you have access, set wishlist visibility to private, and sign out. Browser cookies/local storage may remember locale, theme, and home preferences.
Children
Hypezero is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the service if you are below that age.
